Little state money left for cleanups (Concord Monitor)
The state says oil companies that brought the gas additive MTBE into the state should pay to clean up the groundwater pollution it has caused. The oil companies think otherwise. If they’re found liable, they want the state to reimburse them for getting rid of the pollution with money set aside for gas spill remediation.
